Anyone taken Evenity (romosozumab) for Osteoporosis?
Has anyone taken Evenity? I understand it’s only been on the market for a little over a year. I’m hoping it will help with my severe osteoporosis. Any information is helpful.

@dbk67 I am sorry that you are in such pain, relentless pain can wear a person down. Are there no pain relievers that would give you some relief from that?
I am actually not very familiar with Evenity, I am taking Tymlos. If I recall correctly, there were side effects that would not work for me but I have heard of a number of people using it after Tymlos or Forteo to continue building bone.

Thanks for the hug. Sometimes we need that
I read up on that one I really don’t want to give myself injections I did that with I think Forteo. I’ve had 3 back surgeries already this one I think would finally correct but the osteoporosis can’t be like so Evenity might be the thing. Hope to know soon. Good luck to you
I’ve 5 more Evenity injections to complete the 12 months. My side effects are joint pain and overall achiness- the last month was rough for a few days. I read that peak blood concentration is day 5 - I really noticed that is the worst time for soreness. Half- life is 12 days- meaning half of the drug has been metabolized . It is essential for me to exercise daily- it helps the soreness a lot.
My Rheumatologist is putting me on Prolia now that I have completed Evenity. She said she has many patients on Prolia and no one has reported any side effects. I hope I have the same experience.
It's good to know about the peak blood concentration. My reactions have been fatigue, brain fog and elevated blood pressure. I'm getting my 5th injection next week and will monitor my blood pressure closely. I start to feel better about 2 weeks later. I know that you never really get rid of the drug before subsequent injections, so I hope the side effects don't get worse. I think that Evenity is the best choice for me since it build trabecular bone. Good luck during the rest of your treatments.
Anyone else had high blood pressure or brain fog and how bad is it? All your comments are so helpful. Thanks!
