I’m three months out from non cancer Colin resection surgery. 18 staples and it wasn’t a walk in the park- anyone else have urinary track side effects?

I’m a 69 year old male and picked up a UTI about two weeks out, followed by prostatitis up to a week ago . Still get the strange ache in lower left abdomen when I exercise. Anyone else still recovering this far out?

@vacationv, as you can see from these related discussions, 3 months is not a long time after a major surgery like a colon resection:

I'm sorry to hear that you have the added complication of a urinary tract infection leading to prostatitis. I'm tagging members like @troyhenn22 @thull @kkw2 @duckduck2020 @sundance6, who may have some insight.

Vacationv, what is being done to manage the prostatitis?

I had many UTI’s after different surgery. Found a good urologist, no more problems.
