Macular pucker after cataract surgery

I'm not real sure if macular or corneal? I had cataract surgery about a year and a half ago. About 3 weeks after the surgery of the first eye (R), it started to hurt and felt like something was in it pretty much all the time. I'm not getting answers. The surgeon says there's nothing wrong. My regular optometrist said there's edema and told me to use Muro128 every night. I thought this was temporary but I still have discomfort in it but the feeling like something in it is rarely. I still use Muro128. I did go to another surgeon. He looked in my eye and said nothing is wrong and he didn't see any edma. He didn't dilate my eye or anything. I don't know what my next step should be or if there's anything that can be done.

I'm sorry, I was talking about edema. I do have puckering but I've had it for awhile with no difficulty in my vision. My doctor I had before moving here was checking it every 6 months. Also in first stages of cataracts but he made a remark about having to deal with that very carefu!ly. Since I lived here not so much concern.

I had a retinal detachment in the right eye in the 1980s and cataract surgery in 2009. For the past 2 years I have been treated for macular edema in that right eye. I know of no way a doctor can see macular edema without dilating and having a series of tests. He can see, as your optometrist did, corneal edema.
I have shots of Avastin in a series of 4 shots and then testing. At testing time my eye is dilated and a series of pictures are take to see the progression (it is almost gone).
Please see another ophthalmologist who specializes in retinas and knows about macular edema. Muro are over the counter drops for swelling of the cornea and there are side effects from prolonged use including eye discomfort. You may not have macular edema but if another ophthalmologist does do tests on your eye (and I would insist at this point) he or she should be able to give you an answer.

I know you can't tell if there edema without dilating, which is why I can't get an answer. Thanks

A year ago, my left eye vision became foggy. One ophthamologist said I need glasses. It did not help. I have updated my prescription 3 times. It did not help. 6 months later, a retina specialist saw a macular pucker. I had surgery. It really didn’t help much. I still have wavy vision and still foggy. I have Sjogrens. A heated eye mask helps.

you mentioned your eye became foggy, was that from a cataract? You also mentioned that you had surgery after being diagnosed with macular pucker Was it a vitrectomy or another type of surgery? I'm so sorry that the surgery didn't help much. It's almost 2 years now, any improvement since then, sometimes eyes need time to settle down, I've been told

I just had cataract surgery and wasn't told about complications from macular puckers. Turns out I have MPs in both eyes......Dr mention the distortions I'm experiencing MIGHT lessen in time.......

I would go to GOOD retina specialist and have through eye exam

The fog was not from a cataract. It “may be” from dry eyes with Sjogren’s. My vision has improved a bit after the pucker was released from the macula. The left eye is still seeing waviness. ☹️
Giving my eyes Oasis Tears Plus as much as possible helps.

I was, also, put on Moxifloxacin Opht Sol3ml 0.5% eye drops. They were fabulous.
