Post COVID: Anyone experiencing internal vibrations?
I have had long covid for over two years and a symptom began sporadically during the initial seven weeks that has worsened since a second covid experience. It began as a “flutter” in my chest upon waking, lasting 5 seconds or so. It is not painful just a new sensation I have never experienced. After getting covid again in February 2022, the internal vibrations have become full body and go on for forty seconds. It is always upon waking or falling asleep temporarily during meditation and waking again. Long Covid retired me from my profession and I am not under any stress. I had a recent cardiac incident (also due to long Covid) and wore a Holter monitor. I triggered it whilst having an IV incident: definitely not cardiac induced. Has anyone else experienced IV like this?

I have alot of family and friends support hun thank u. I have tried gabapentin 100mg but with proparanol 20mg and that made these vibrations go worse. I'm not sure why meds are worsening the symptoms tho. I tried lots of antidepressant it did the same and lyrica too. Not sure if I would try the gabapentin without the proparanol
Thank you for this information. I have the same vibrations and twitching that you have and am meeting with a holistic MD in a week. Could you please share what natural remedies have worked for you?
I started out with my own protocol - lots of electrolytes either Gatorade Zero or powdered electrolytes in water or coconut water - keeping hydrated all day. I got into bed at night with a mask to cut down on extra stimuli like lights & screens - and just listened to tv for awhile. Get outside as much as possible and walk whatever you are capable of every day. If revving or vibrating a lot - jumping around, dancing, singing, gargling. Anything that works on your vagus nerve and distracts your nervous system. Ice packs on head and face. Meditation. Sitting with all the crazy symptoms & feelings and reminding myself I am strong and will be ok (not easy). With functional MD - tons of antioxidant dark grapes & berries. Tumeric and Resveratol. Detox drink. Liposomal Glutathione. Magnesium before bedtime. And also ‘earthing’ - sounds crazy (but so is this journey) - walking barefoot on grass everyday for 15-30 min. Lots of articles coming out about that now. I hope this helps. I have tried everything! I am 8+ months post Covid booster injury and finally starting to feel more like me again - still have a couple lingering symptoms.
Thank you for your response. I have been reading a lot about MCAS and Histamine intolerance and how this could be the underlying problem.
Dr. Tina Peers and other functional docs are talking about this. I am going to try her protocol. I am very hopeful that this will work. I already ground to the earth and eat organic and super clean and am very fit so I can appreciate all the holistic advice:)
Please let me know if you have already tried this!?
Hi - I have looked into the MCAS & Histamine Intolerance before and potentially will be on that food protocol at some point. I did a comprehensive stool test with the Functional Doctor and will go over those results in another week so that will show more about what is going on in my body. I am like you - eat organic and I've been celiac strict Gluten Free for the last 5 years due to Hashimoto's (which I've had for 30+ years). Cow dairy free as well. I looked up Dr. Tina Peers - lots of good information.
I’m starting a new line of treatment with a functional dr post vaccine reaction and it sounds so similar- I hope to be reporting back good things too! At nearly 10 months here…
What is a functional doctor and where do you find them?
Functional medicine takes a more wholistic approach - nutrition supplements lifestyle previous viruses… it’s a great modality to add for tailored treatment. Some are affiliated with hospitals but there are a lot of places in the community too. Those are often out of network and expensive but I am going all in. Ready to make some new progress. I live in Minneapolis and can recommend a few if you’re local?
Yes I have experienced the internal tremors but so far only when I have a fever. I got Corvid 19 in April 2022. I’ve been off work for four months now. My symptoms just never went away. I experienced my first full on flareup whereby all of my symptoms came back all at once landing me in bed for seven days with a fever migraine and all the other classic symptoms. It was so severe I was convinced I had contracted Covid again. But test results showed negative. As I understand it, a resurgence of symptoms can and will happen anytime I’m overtired, stressed, or overdo it. I do experience a lot of twitching in my legs now. Could this be what you’re calling internal vibrations? I feel it is some type of nerve damage perhaps.
I have been having bronco spasms - an involuntary spasms of the diaphragm- which happen upon exhalation, when doing even slight aerobic exercise.
I had covid in Nov. 2021 and was hospitalized briefly because these spasms would not stop and put me in acute respiratory failure. I’ve learned how to control them with breathing methods but have been unable to stop them from occurring. I have been in pulmonary rehabilitation since April 2022 but am not longer progressing with recovery and this program will end soon. The pulmonologist does not have a solution. Does anyone share this problem or have any suggestions, is there any way of eliminating this spastic response?
