I also had severe muscle pain after Reclast. It was my first infusion. I couldn't pick up my right foot due to pain in my back so I called 911. I was admitted to the hospital but the doctor s didn't know what to do and only gave me acetaminophen which didn't help. The next day I did some stretches and that helped enough for me to get discharged. My doctor didn't respond so I googled and found it was ok to take Motrin. My pain returned every day at 2 AM and tapered off once I got up and did stretches.
My daughter arranged for a whole body massage but that hurt too much on my back. My chiropractor said it was muscle pain so he could not help. I had the daily pain for 10 d until my daughter suggested aspirin. Taking one tablet at bedtime finally ended the pain.
Then a follow up chest CT to a poor quality ER X-ray showed that I had suffered multiple blood clots to my lungs. It has been 3 month s and I remain short winded on exercise.
