Just joined the group. I hope everything went well with your husband. Myocardial bridging, from what I was told, is not very common. My local hospitals and Drs felt my symptoms were anxiety until I went unresponsive. In April 2018 I was fortunate enough to see a Dr at Mayos that quickly diagnosed severe left side myocardial bridging. I had open heart surgery at 48 yrs old within the week.

It’s been a long haul finding doctors who are knowledgeable. Mayo ignored us so we went with a Dr in Miami. They are doing a cardiac MRI next week which we hope will give us more answers. From there they said another heart cath but done differently to show what they need it to. I’m glad they found yours and you e had it taken care of. I am absolutely amazed at the lack of informed cardiologist. It’s completely unacceptable and dangerous. So many patients are ignored.

I have a myocardial bridge in the LAD. I only found out 4 years ago that I have one. I am now 71. I have had issues my entire life with mine. Whenever I was around age 1, my parents had to rush me to a hospital and the doctors thought I was having a seizure. Until my general practitioner in Mobile, AL noticed a problem with my EKG and ordered a heart cath and found mine. I made so many trips to the ER, because I thought I was having a heart attack. They could never find anything. I am very interested in communicating with anyone that has a myocardial bridge. I would like your advice on where to go to see a doctor that knows about it. I can't find a doctor in Mobile that has any other patients with Myocardial Bridge.

Hi @71jismo,

I am so sorry to hear that. May I ask how they did the diagnosis (which test)? I just posted a post with my story at the end and I feel that I might be having this...
