My doctor has me on 300MG daily of Gabapentin. I can't tell that it's helping much, but I'd hate to stop taking it and see how bad the burning in my legs and feet would get without it.
I am diagnosed 7 years ago with a mild case of PN. Started in left foot, worked up left calf, then right foot, working up right calf. No pain, just tingling and temperature sensations. Today, 8/7/2022, woke up with a feeling of weakness in both lower legs. Again, no paid, just weak sensations in each lower leg. Can anyone share if this is a continuation of the progressive nature of PN? Or any other explanation?
Hello @jrayk. I am sorry to hear of your added symptoms you've shared.
You will notice that I have moved your post into an active discussion on PN so that you may more easily connect with other members. Members such as @kayeellen and @oceanic50 have both shared having weakness in their legs so may be able to come in and share more with you.
Do you, or have you, had any issues with your back/sciatica that could be possibly contributing to this symptom?
Thank you John.....that was very nice of you to find that article for @bcool123. It really is no secret that John is the best researcher of all the mentors, including me.

Since your unable to tell if it's helping have you asked if your doctor will increase it or do the side effects cause you problems?
300 mg is a very low dose. The maximum dose is 3,600mg which I took but no help to my Neuropathy or Seizures.

Yes, I have it in both hands and both legs below the knees. Compression socks helps the feet and lowers some.
Compression gloves helps the coldness in my hand but does not help my grip. Constantly spill or drop things. Does anyone know of a brand of compression gloves that have good gripping aids on palms and finger? I've tried the Tommy Copper, Copper Fit and several nameless ones from Amazon. Thanks.
