Has anyone experienced internal vibrations?

Posted by redladyjoni @redladyjoni, Nov 26, 2018

I started having the only way I can explain it is internal vibrations. I've had them for 3 months now, I went to t hihe ER and they told me it was anxiety. A doctor diagnosed me at a clinic as having Lyme disease I've started a 21-day prescription of Doxycycline I'm on day 7. I went to a psychiatrist a week ago to get something because of my nerves are just over the brink. He prescribed me Gabapentin and Valium I've only been on them a few days.
Has anyone experienced these internal vibrations?I have them almost 24/7 chest neck stomach from the hips down. I have more lab tests that should be in today, but the doctor's office said that they would not call unless there was some abnormality in the lab work.

I experience them frequently. It feels as if your entire body is vibrating inside, and there is nothing evident on the outside. It's just this internal shaking! I have a PD.and I feel it originates from that. I assume you haven't, as you did not mention it in your post - when I get it usually passes in an hour. It comes about mainly in the mornings as soon as I wake up. It is annoying, and it feels that I am ultra-sensitive to any stimuli that wreak havoc with my nervous system. Do yoga and ground yourself. Iyengar yoga works for me. It's all about grounding and holding each pose for a long time, which keeps the internal body strong. Calm. I hope this helps.

There are many health conditions that can cause internal vibrations, I believe. You just need to figure out which underlying condition is causing it for you.

Nazzi, you wrote, "I have a PD and I feel it originates from that." By "PD", do you mean that you have Parkinson's Disease?

If you look at the comments on the "internal tremors" and "sleep vibrations" groups on Facebook, you will see that a whole host of medical conditions are associated with internal vibrations, whether yours happen 24/7 or only during sleep or waking. I hope you find some answers soon!

Yes, PD. But it's my new normal. I've lived with it for ten years; I'm on meds---and do yoga, meditation, workout with a trainer, physio, and acupuncture. It seems to keep the disease from progressing. Too quickly, when I'm ON, I'm fine. When
OFF can't move, and I slump. It sucks. There are no two ways about it.

I have Mast Cell Activation Syndrome and also have internal vibrations when I accidentally eat a food or foods with histamine. It took a long time to find a Dr who knew what it is and how to test for it.

For the last two years, I have noticed when just falling asleep or only being asleep a few minutes and being woken up, my chest will hurt, maybe kind of hard to breathe a bit and then I will just lay there and shake…like I am in an earthquake, but I know my body isn’t moving. It feels like the craziest thing. It doesn’t happen all the time, but when it does…it feels really bad. My chest just doesn’t feel right. When I tell doctors, they don’t really know what it means and don’t have any answers for me. Also two years ago I developed tonsil stones, yeast overgrowth around the outside of my nose, excessive sweating that smelled horrible, found out I have a heart condition where blood spurts back up every now and then, AND the inability to lose weight even though I continued my exercise and eating right. The sweating has stopped, but everything else has stayed the same..worsening and getting better. Oh and before that, I would have episodes of fast heart rate and feeling like the sides, or one side, of my temple was swelling..making it feel like my face would go numb sometimes. Those symptoms haven’t happened in about a year. But…is it all connected? Does anyone else have these symptoms with the internal earthquakes?

Yes I have the vibrations. Dr. Said it was meniers. Terrible horrific ringing with a submarine clinking sound.

Vibrations internally from the bottom of my feet to the back accompanied by roaring in my ears along with hissing. No vertigo.

Pain everywhere, swelling, numbness & tingling mostly in my legs and feet, extreme fatigue, vision and speech issues, trouble walking and balance is off, constipation and urgency to urinate to the point that I sometimes have accidents. I can't think straight most of the time, trying to type this is difficult. We have a Mayo Clinic here in Wisconsin, it's about three hours north from where I am in Janesville, WI. I have to change my HMO come October in order to see a specialist there.

I have had what feels like subtle internal vibration in my body for perhaps 3 years. When this first began i would notice it during times of deep relaxation like just before sleep or just waking from sleep. They were most noticeable on my back and almost exclusively occurred when lying on my back. At times these were so subtle that I would question their existence. Lately these have become stronger and more perceptible and include other parts of my body. They are not unpleasant and may even be pleasurable and i find my self staying still with curiosity. They have never felt bad and I believe they are related to a deeper awareness of my body and at some level a connection to what exists beyond my body. I know some of this sound s a bit woo woo but it is the sense I have. I stumbled on these posts of others seeking a medical reason for these internal vibrations. Some of you have other symptoms which may be part of a neurological condition, but i am curious of those who experience these subtle sensations without any other symptoms. These have accompanied a greater self awareness on my end and i find myself with more compassion and love of others.

I am new to this forum and I’m not sure if you are still having the issue, I had a similar situation for two years and it was finally resolved. I realize your post is nine months old I’m just curious if you’re still having the same vibration issue.
