I am going to look into this DAO enzyme - maybe it will help my diarrhea- every morning I cannot get to the washroom fast enough and most days it happens at keast 4-5 times and yet after these awful bouts it disappears for the rest of the day until next morning !

To the best of my knowledge, DAO cannot hurt, and it just may help. Do buy a two-month supply. Typical dosage is 2 capsules, 3 x per day, i.e., 2 capsules with each meal. If you don't eat three meals a day, still be certain to take a total of 6 capsules each day. If I eat a late-night snack, I take two more for a total of eight.

I am now on Day 4 of normal! I should check my food diary to identify what caused my recent relapse. Oh, forgot to weigh myself this morning after a NORMAL time on the commode. If I remember, I hope to post good news that I'm still at 117 or even up to 118! I was afraid to weigh myself five or six days ago, fearing I'd dropped down to 116.

To put it in perspective, when I was Case #138 ever diagnosed in America with cutaneous mastocytosis, my two biopsies at Vanderbilt University Medical Center showed I was born with 1,000 times the normal number of mast cells. So, with debilitating diarrhea up to nine times a day, I had to use a multi-pronged approach (an H1 Blocker--Claritin, and two H2 Blockers--Tagamet and Famotidine). And you know about my 6 - 8 capsules of DAO enzyme every day. Finally, that very restricted, low-histamine diet.

Bear in mind, until the Pfizer double jab I had ZERO food allergies, ZERO heart problems, ZERO diarrhea. In fact, my strictly cutaneous masto was 100% under control for decades with nothing but OTC Claritin. Tagamet was added when my leukocytes were slightly elevated. It's only out of desperation after the Pfizer double jab/diarrhea/A-fib that I added the Famotidine. I doubled my Claritin, doubled my Tagamet and took a double dose of Famotidine for months. ZERO improvement! None! Until DAO enzyme. I'm now down to one Claritin, one Tagamet and one Famotidine. The latter two are H2 Blockers that also reduce stomach acid; so, next month I will be the human guinea pig again and cease taking the Famotidine. I want normal stomach acid to benefit from my diet and supplements. I've never had acid reflux or GERD.

Wishing you the best!

Oh, very important and more pertinent to this thread. My A-fib is much milder, less frequent after four days of normal! I have also changed the form of magnesium in my supplement tins. I know I am low in magnesium but certainly don't need the forms that are known to have the most laxative effect! I'd have to dig through a huge tub of supplement bottles to find the magnesium I switched to; however, I do have a note in front of me from a fairly recent Internet search. The three least laxative forms of magnesium are: lactate, malate and orotate. You may not be deficient in magnesium; but, if you continue with frequent diarrhea, you know you will suffer a significant loss of many essentials. By all means, I encourage you to confirm, do your own research or consult your MD. Me? I no longer have a doctor--but those are other stories. I must be devoted to self-care!

Please keep me/us updated! Again, I wish you the best on this journey! We're on parallel paths. Let's meet on the mountaintop! Hugs? Hugs, indeed!
