I would appreciate it if someone is having the same problem as I...Ballooning of my Ostomy bag...if anyone has a solution I would appreciate it...I have spoken to Hollister and they have no solution...only to say wash the bag...to me that's not a solution...
what type of bag do most people like the best .The entirely sealed bag or the bags with the clip closure
The ballooning of the OSTOMY bag should be from gas. Open the bag, I did it at the top and let the gas out. I always taped my bag down, they gave me special tape and a powder, so tape the bag back down and see if that helps. Does this address your issue? Feel free to ask me any questions. You know you can send private messages by clicking on the persons name. Good luck.
Personally I never used a bag with a clip. I don’t think I would like a clip.
Thank You...I will Try It...Thanks Again...
You are very welcome!! Hope things get easier for you. Will you be able to have a reversal?
Try a product called EZVent . It really helps you can apply it at the top of your pouch. You can go into a private area and release the gas! I’ve been using it for years! Hope this helps.
Is this group more geared and intended for those w/colostomies or for those w/urostomies like myself?????
Do you have a urostomy or colostomy? I have a urostomy and use coloplast sun suri mio one piece as well as overnight bag. Periodically my bags balloon also. It especially balloons while flying. I disconnected the two bags to let the air out if the overnight bag is ballooning or just emptied the ballooning bag. I have attended other support groups and find it rare for urostomy patients to have this problem. I have been told that it is food related but my diet is fairly consistent and can’t figure out what is causing it.
Do you drink carbonated drinks? Mine bloat up when I do.
