Anyone here dealing with peripheral neuropathy?

I would like to get into the Mayo clinic. I am afraid that it would take a long time to get an appointment. I have been reading on the Mayo clinic web site and the symptoms I am having is exactly what the web site says I should be having; C2 C3 moderate to severe right neural foraminal narrowing,
C3 C4 severe right neural foraminal narrowing also mild spinal canal narrowing,
C4 C5 moderate right and mild left neural foraminal narrowing,
C5 C6 moderate to severe left and mild right neural foraminal narrowing,
C6 C7 mild spinal canal stenosis, moderate to severe bilateral neural foraminal narrowing.

L1 l2 broad based disc bulging results in mild spinal canal and bilateral lateral recess narrowing,
L2 L3 annular disc bulging result in moderate spinal canal narrowing and severe left and moderate right lateral recess narrowing, severe left and mild right neural foraminal narrowing,
L3 L4Annular disc bulging result in mild spinal canal and moderate bilateral lateral recess narrowing, moderate right and mild left neural foraminal narrowing,
L4 L5 residual disc protrusion results in severe left lateral recess narrowing and moderate to severe bilateral neural foraminal narrowing. I would love to have a doctor at Mayo clinic look at this and tell me if anything can be done to help with the pain in my legs.

Sativa cannabis will not interfere with depression medication. Indica cannabis may, but I doubt it. I’m on two anti depression meds and it doesn’t to anything to interfere. But it help tremendously for pain and attitude issues.
What’s funny to me (sarcasm) the doctors treating us rarely have a clue what we go through. My neurologist is a specialist in Neuropathy, both Autonomic and Small fiber. She said I will do what I can to help you in any way, but since I’ve never experienced what you’re dealing with I will need you to pain a picture of what you feel and what you are dealing with. Then she said I can help you.
It’s like someone treating you for headaches and they never had one. They are going to recommend the text book treatment, never deviating from the accepted normal practice they learn in school. But go to a Dr who deals with migraines and they will go off the written page to get you the relief you need.
I’m not pushing marijuana, I know the gummy’s help me tremendously. My Neurologist said give it a try, if it helps let me know so I can help my other patients. I do understand the apprehension using any forms of marijuana because I was a police officer. But it help me.
Again I’m not pushing my treatment in anybody. This is a blog to give us different ideas on what May or may not help.
I hope you get some relief!❤️

Hi there,
I've had Neuropathy for 42 years and Epilepsy for 55 years.
If you haven't already why not stop by the Epilepsy thread and introduce yourself. If memory serves and you know what seizures and anticonvulsants can do to memory but people are taking Cannabis for Neuropathy and Epilepsy. Some quite successfully.
Take care,
Jake

Hello @rennie6526, Welcome to Connect. It sounds like you have peripheral neuropathy also. Are you able to share a little more about your diagnosis and any treatments you've found helpful?

Yes. And it’s horrible. Hot and cold burn my legs with no relief. Burning, tingling, pins and needles, electric shock 24 hours a day.

Is it a prescription of cannabis? I’ve been on Keppra and Clonazepam for years for my seizures now it seems to have effected my GERD. Also, the Gabapentin is making me walk funny and hurting my stomach and eyes. Did you ever smoke? My neuropathy is from smoking. Have you heard of L Theanine. My counselor wants me to take it to help relax me but it looks like it could cause seizures.
