Hello @joy05 and welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. I can imagine TX would be a pretty tough environment for her if she has trouble regulating her body temperature. I'm curious, what did the doctor(s) say at the time of diagnosis in terms of how to live with this and if they recommended any sort of treatment?

She has never had a formal DX for this: It started when she was 10 from a heat emergency visit…after golfing. She lived with dad so I got her at 26 with psychotic episodes and a DX of schizophrenia. This condition seems to happen with SMI/ traumatic brain injury clients or anyone. With her I wonder if she has an injury undiagnosed and it is being treated as schizophrenia. She is on the lowest dose of Haldol because she is med intolerant. Medicaid dose not pay for specialist except the Dr who prescribes her antipsychotic.
