Gargle with Aloe Vera Juice while on Tobramycin

Last week I began my 4th treatment for pseudomonas using inhaled Tobramycin. On day 3 my voice was gone and is still only a whisper on day 6. It is frustrating but it happens every time so no choice but to wait it out, gargling with salt water--does not seem to help. The treatments seem rougher but I'm older too. LOL. I thought about aloe vera--could gargling with it help? I've been drinking the juice for years to aid in gut issues so I searched on the internet to see if any suggestions for ? sore throat. Seems it is commonly recommended and safe. I did my first gargle this AM and will do it 3-4 more times today. Looking forward to see if it helps. Would appreciate response from others about this and their experiences. Hope all have a blessed day.

Oh, I really hope this works for you - please let us know! We certainly have used it for many things over the years and it would be great as another tool for dealing with medication side effects.

Hi Sue. I've been using both aloe vera and gargling with worm salt water so hard to really say the aloe is better. Not much of a scientific trial. LOL. As far as the Tobi treatment, I'm finally getting back to a smoker's voice so that is an improvement over a whisper. I'm not sure how to approach a particular issue with my pulm doc however. The three previous times I've been on Tobi (different pulm doc than now) I was always put on oral Levofloxin. I've brought this up twice with the current doc during portal messaging. The message would contain other questions, updates, etc. He has never addressed that. Do you think I should press more? It just seems it would be good to hit the pseudo in two ways otherwise the Tobi only might be a "little light" treatment and have to come back and do treatment again. I don't know if the lab indicated the pseudo was ??sensitive to Levofloxin or other antibiotic. Your thoughts. Thanks.
