This is my first time on this site. I was recently diagnosed with brachio radial pruritis although I think I’ve had it for a few years now. My dermatologist prescribed s compound which sort of helps but she suggested seeing an orthopedist for cortisone shots in my neck. I had severe whiplash years ago and am pretty sure my neck is a mess. Does anyone have experience with these shots? I’m hesitant but the itching has spread all the way down one arm and halfway down the other and at times it’s just maddening. (Can’t carry icepacks everywhere.) I’d like to know others’ experiences with cortisone.

A few years ago a doctor was frantic to help me. He said try pain relief you get at Rite Aid under there label. Come to find out it is really Aspercream, and it was working. So was thinking could this be pain not itch. Forget ice. So between the aspercream and the triacinolone a prescription I was covered.
CURED of the brachioradial, after 30 years. I was seeing a DO doctor for gentle omt's. She was working on my right arm for an injury, I noticed 2 weeks ago I am itch free on my arms. First time in 30 years. Since this is a cervical vertebrae issue, only logical you should get a doctor to do these gentle omt's. So she was working around my arm, shoulder, shoulder blade for a bad twist of my arm. First time in 30 years. Stopped.

I suffered with this for several years, and this year it ran rampant. After seeing a good chiropractor and using the CBD cream on my arms it has completely disappeared. Good luck
