Good Morning.... I was experiencing the need to yawn all the time, but I could not complete the yawn as the breath was not getting down which caused panic on my part .. I was becoming very aware of my breathing patterns, which made it worse! At times, I could compete the breath, but the anxiety it created was consuming me! I found some relief when I got involved in projects where I wasn't thinking about breathing. Sometimes, would be OK for hours at at time, and then it would start again.
It did not seem to effect my sleep.
Ive been OK for a few days now. Im using allergy pills, nasal sprays, omeprazole and change in diet patterns.
I hope you find relief because its torturous!

Wow. Thanks Shels. I can't believe how similar our experiences are. I've been struggling breathing through my nose so I wonder if the nasal passages are inflamed/blocked. the excess yawning is identical and the panic and anxiety are spot on. I get conscientious about my breathing and I get stuck not being able to complete the breath and then I become even more short of breath. My sleep doesn't appear to be affected either. Glad to hear you're seeing significant improvement. Hope it continues. Maybe I'll stop drinking coffee and beer and see how that affects my breathing.
