Has anyone used ECT Therapy for depression?

I am so depressed and my psychiatrist has had me on every antidepressant known to man. He now encourages ECT. It would require multiple 60 mile trips several times a week and that would require transportation. I live alone and I’m worried about side effects. I would appreciate comments about experiences with ECT.

I found ECT to be very helpful. Can you get it inpatient?

I have a friend who takes antidepressants with little success, so he has decided to try TMS. I may try it myself. There are two Mayo clinic videos on YouTube about TMS and they explain about it. IT's been approved by the FDA and TMS seems to have good results, check out the Mayo clinic videos with DR, Kahn.
