Anyone had LITT (laser interstitial thermal) Procedure?

Hi Colleen. I am scheduled for LITT at the Mayo on 6/30 and would love to hear from anyone who has had this procedure. The only person I can find is @patrassi. You suggested using "secure private messaging" as a contact tool but I can't figure out how to use it. Can you direct me to a place where I can find instructions? Also, have you seen other people who use this site who have given information about personal experiences with LITT? Thanks

You're in good hands at Mayo Clinic, Suzanne. It is hard to imagine that you will only need to be in the hospital for one overnight after such a procedure, but it's true. LITT is minimally invasive and the hospital stay is typically a day. Usually the return to former activity is within two weeks. Crazy, right?
Will you be going to Mayo in Minnesota, Florida or Arizona? Do you plan to stay at Mayo in a hotel for a few days following surgery? Are you traveling from from away?
