I don't have diabetes, but I started having neuropathy symptoms about 2.5 years ago. No pain, but numbness and tingling in feet and hands. My ED issues started about 8 months earlier. I don't know if these are actually related, but timing makes me curious. ED does not respond to drugs.

Thank you for the reply. I am sure that it is all related to diabetic neuropathy. You hear about diabetic nerve pain all the time but you never hear about diabetic nerve damage and I certainly did not expect it to be downstairs. I expected it to be toes or fingers. Unfortunately, I can not discuss this with people I see all of the time in person such as my pastor or the folks I hang out with at the local coffee shop. My wife is aware and really could care less as this means she doesn't have to do it any more. The worse thing is she kept me in basically a celibate marriage for over the past 25 years of an almost 32 year marriage and now when things can get back to some sort of normalcy I'm the one with the issues and she doesn't seem the care. I wish there was a men's community that I can find where I can vent and talk through these sings to see how they cope with the same issues.

Hello Island Frog.

Sorry for the delay. I also know that medicine does not work as I have tried Viagara, Cialis, Sildenafil, Funky Goat Weed etc. The reason they do not work is they are for blood flow and the issue is nerve damage. You hear about nerve pain but never hear about nerve damage. Not sure if this is strictly related to type 2 diabetes or if Type 1 diabetics experience the same thing. Also not sure why doctor's never talk about nerve damage.
