Anyone take a bisphosphonate for osteoporosis while on prednisolone?

Hi everyone,
has anyone had experience of Alendrenate or Bisphosenate medication to prevent osteoporosis while taking Prednisolone ? If so, what side effects have you had ?
My GP is asking me to consider adding them to my already large cocktail of meds.

Why no dairy? I thought that would be good for our bones along with calcium and D3.

Dairy has been shown to be disruptive to the gut-especially as we get older. This disruption/inflammation can be the cause of your Autoimmune Disease.

I have had PMR since March of this year, and almost at the same time as that diagnosis I started receiving monthly injections of an osteoporosis medication called Evenity. So far, no side effects from Evenity, just soreness at the injection areas. Also taking D2 and D3 and daily 600 mg calcium. My osteoporosis is severe and has been there since my mid-thirties, before steroids and before menopause. (am New 70). Hoping for the best with the new drug. Best of luck!
