HI Rox, defamation of character is when intentionally false statements are stated intended to damage a person's reputation. Nige would have had grounds for this with his employer if he had been well enough to do so. Also talking about a person to another can be defaming to their character e.g. someone states something to the other that isn;t true, verballly or in print, and sets with the intention in mind to hurt someone. This is against the law and legal action can be taken out against the person for committing defamation. Do I personally feel that you have grounds for defamation yes I do. I feel that you could easily lodge a claim in the courts re civil in regards to your situation. Maybe even more than one Hope this helps my dear friend. Always here if you need me Piglitx0

Hi Piglit,
If does because they told the department of labor I had all these disciplinary issues and that's a lie. The man was trying to negatively impact the investigation by making inappropriate comments about me.. I have this in writing from the agency. Very very helpful!
Thank you my friend.
Rox

That's all you need sweetie to start the ball rolling. You need to speak to the people helping you with your case. They need to place this information in your file and then they will guide you down the correct channels to put this in place to take the required action on these low life people that you are constantly confronted by. Remember my dear friend our Karma saying well its about to come around.
Justice will prevail my dear friend and your voice is going to be heard like loud ringing bells. So proud of you Take care always here if you need me Hugs Piglit

It is very difficult to find a lawyer who will take a defamation case as the 'proving of damages' can be difficult and this is what the lawyers are paid through.

Oh just thought that maybe looking at a malpractice claim may be more productive.

Hi lizzie the defamation is in place and the documentation required is in wrting. I know that if my husband had been well enough that defamation could have been claimed through his employers against the person that was defaming him. It can all go into the one claim. Take care Piglit

My doctor are great I would never do that. Besides, the phone call was not returned. I have a lot of slanderous comments in writing as well that contradict my reference letters and annual appraisals.
Rox

Agree all the way!

There is defintely no malpractice on your dr here they as you have stated rox are great. Piglit The defamation is on the people who defamed you and the documentation will be prove of this

This is the way it works Rox and it will work out There are legalities in place for you and they will be acted upon when the time is right to do so
