What are you reading?

What books do you want to read this year? I’ve just gotten on a waitlist at my local library to borrow Four Thousand Weeks: Time Management for Mortals. There are 7 copies available and I’m 42nd on the list, so I should be able to get this book by the end of the year. 😂

I am currently reading books by Ann Tatlock and Mesu Andrews and Tessa Afshar. My main genre is Christian fiction and Christian historical fiction. I may go back and read books by other authors. I have some cozy authors I like as well. Cleo Coyle, Laura Childs, plus many others.

I also liked The Last Flight by Julie Clark. It's a tale of switched identities.

It's interesting that you should mention Colleen Hoover. I had someone recommend her novels and I'm just finishing, Reminders of Him. I've been looking for another Hoover novel so perhaps I'll try Verity.

I've also enjoyed books by Kate Hewitt. I've read two of the Willoughby Close series and I've enjoyed the UK references and language!

I am currently reading "All Things Bright and Beautiful". By James Herriot. It's a follow up to his first book "All Things Great and Small". All about vet in the 1930's in England's Yorkshire rural countryside. It's humorous and captivating about the trials and tribulations he went through with the farmers and their animals. Each chapter is a new event. The kind of book you say when it's getting late, "Just one more chapter".

I am currently reading "All Things Bright and Beautiful". By James Herriot. It's a follow up to his first book "All Things Great and Small". I loved that book, long ago, I read it and gave it to my mother-in-law who loved it too.
Now reading Metopolis by B. A. Shapiro, about some people living illegally in an old storage building. It is very intriguing and very difficult to put down!

I've been reading all of Alexander McCall Smith's novels, no. 1 Ladies Detective Agency, 44 Scotland Street, and the Isabel Dalhousie novels. LOVE his writing!

Hello all, I'm new to this forum and saw this discussion. Lots of good ideas for books! I love to read and read fast, so I usually go through 3-4 books a week, depending on the length. I love historical fiction, like Susanna Kearsley's books - I'm re-reading one of her best right now called "The Winter Sea," which takes place in Scotland. This book made me decide to travel to Scotland next year. I also like urban/contemporary fantasy - my favorite authors are Ilona Andrews, Patricia Briggs and Anne Bishop.

I am finishing another Picoult book: The Pact. It's a love story, but a very different one!!! I had to make myself put it down and go to bed last night!!! Still lots of snow on the ground here, but melted off the trees, at least.

I've been reading all of Alexander McCall Smith's novels, no. 1 Ladies Detective Agency, 44 Scotland Street, and the Isabel Dalhousie novels. LOVE his writing!

Love Alexander McCalls No.1 Detective books. It's the perfect way to relax and unwind. The relationship between the characters is what makes the books so special. Everything flows like a cup of red bush tea. I can almost feel the hot sun!!

Hi everyone, Verity is on my list to read! I just finished Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt. I didn't think I could love a book about an octopus so much. But I did!

Isn't it great when you read a book and it makes you want to visit that place. I will pick this book up, as I have plans to visit Scotland!!
