What's outside of your picture window today?
As we get ready for the real winter to show up and COVID-19 still playing a major part in our lives I like to spend moments of my day de-stressing about what's going on in the world today. All I have to do is look out the window and observe some of natures beautiful creatures, how they interact and ponder how small it makes my troubles seem. Sometimes I may even get the opportunity to take a photo or two. How about you? Anything going on outside of your window(s) that you want to share?
For those members that have the ability to size your photos before you upload them to the discussion, may I suggest using the following sizes:
– 500 x 335 pixels (landscape)
– 210 x 210 pixels (square)

@johnbishop The "bambis in the backfield" here have been busy, too! New fawns jumping around. The grass is higher than their heads, in fact, higher than their mamas' heads. The geese have moved their nest of babies out to the creek edge. The quail family has pretty much educated their youngsters on flying, and last evening they were running up and down the road, poking into the neighbor's garden for tidbits. This year we have had a skunk problem on this edge of town - definitely not a good thing, and unwelcoming to wake up to the odiferous reminder!
I expect the county to be here in the next few weeks to mitigate the back lots for defensible landspace, as they have taken them over. In spite of the local rainfall, we are still in severe drought.

@johnbishop, @loribmt and everyone.
You won't believe what I see out my picture window since moving to the beautiful Okanagan Valley in March! I'll try to attach a few photos...that building on the left is the very handy (for me!) Ambulance station.
@johnbishop , @loribmt et al. This is my new town. Most of my family live within an hour away. Lots of visits to my Assisted Living seniors facility!
Life is good. I'm so happeee here!
@johnbishop , @loribmt et al. This view is from my 4th floor hallway window. Wine country! Vineyards, orchards, glorious! Also rattlesnakes, etc., but we don't count the worrisome parts of living in "the hottest area in Canada"! A true desert area.
@johnbishop , @loribmt et al. Sorry, John, but I haven't caught the hang of it for attaching more than one photo to a message, hence three postings. Warmest regards to all the Connect gang, Laurie
@artscaping!! Wow, what a gorgeous view. I’m so happpeeee you landed in such a beautiful area and have views like this out of your window! Beats that last place with the view of a parking lot! 😍
@loribmt Lori, it's a miracle that my sons and their wives found this wonderful place and moved me here to be close to them!
@artist01 Your photos are just beautiful and, best of all, you sound so happy!! Are you ever taken on an expedition to wineries? To try new wines?
@becsbuddy Hi Becky: Yes, Ive gone on many wine-tasting tours when I lived here from 2000 to 2009! It was a real highlight for my out-of-town guests when they came to visit.
Nowadays, I will be at the mercy of friends and family for those jaunts, but they will likely happen, for sure.
@artist01 Your view is great. Right now all is green with hay ready to cut if the rain will quit long enough to get it baled once it is cut. Everything is so tall the spring calves are almost hidden from sight. More rain before 5 pm and more around 7 pm. We are in a flood warning. Take care would love to see more of your countryside.
