Thank you all for the replies- it has been a bit bumpy getting some clarity at Mayo on 2nd opinion diagnosis and treatment suggestions (sent all his records to AZ) but he has consult appt virtual with Rochester next week so that is progress! @dpcarriere how many proton treatments did you have? @jimcinak was really generous with his time talking with my husband this week about his experience. Thank you all for responding!

I believe I had 28 treatments - something like that. Also due to the gravity of my grade 10 my entire prostate was treated. Didn't feel a thing, nothing at all, not even a tingle. No pain or discomfort with Proton Beam, that's one of the benefits as well as it's pinpoint accuracy and lack of surrounding tissue damage.

@voc, how are you doing? Any update on your husband's appointments and/or treatment options?
