There is a lot of research and studies on long Covid. Many hospital systems in larger cities now have long term Covid clinics. Your symptoms may make you eligible. You should ask for a doctor referral from your general/family doctor. They should help.

My primary doctor isn't help me at all I live in VA; I had reach out on my own to a post Covid clinic in my area, Norfolk, VA. I've been telling my primary care about my system of lack of concentration & focus, fatigue, chronic knee painhas worsened since February 2021 with Covid diagnosis, hx of a blood clotting disorder for 35 years 1st episode of pulmonary embolism at age 19, 3rd pulmonary embolism with Covid before I could get a shot, shot schedled Jan. 31, 2022, my husband got Covid from his job due to high transition rate ; we were both scheduled for shots the same day @ our Church & had signed with our local health department/ Vdh (we heard from the VDH in March 2021 after our diagnosis & my admission to the hospital due blood clotting medication failing due Covid which my primary care doctor admitted
me for 2/18/21, discharge to home on oxygen & a different blood thinning medicine. My PC/ Internist had me stay for 3 months, sent me back to work full-time, May 3, 2021, persistent short of breath & fatigue working preschoolers. Even though, I asked to return to work half days for a couple weeks to see how I would see how I would tolerated it.
My primary doctor refused & sent me back to work full-time. I was off from the end of June until the end of August 2021. Had a visit with my Primary care dr during, blood dr & pulmonologist
also before returning to work in August symptoms better but still persistent SOB & brain fog (made all of these medical dr's aware), was sent back to work again. In Sept. 2021, I sat at my desk for weeks & cried
@ sometime daily because I couldn't remember how to work my desk top; called IT several times daily & lucky I had a co-worker that had work with me for over 14 years, was aware that I was unable to function rhe way I functioned in previous years prior to the Covid diagnosis & told that I call her whenever needed for help ( I would call her 4-6 times in a 8 hour shift 5 days a week. Visited with Primary care Dr. (Oct 2021 & blood dr again in Nov. 2021. Told both doctor's about my lingering symptoms SOB & brain fog; neither doctor referral me to another specialist for following uo testing. Have not had any test of my heart, brain or lungs since I was in the hospital Feb. 2021. Primary
care dr told me, I need to lose weight, and that I have anxiety and depression but I was not referred to any other specialist. When I called a psychiatrist
trying get help on my own. I was given medication for this diagnosis. It seemed to help for a little. But the symptoms still persists & got worst as my work load increased as preschoolers returned & were being quartined almost daily from Sept- Jan. & with no Covid shots for there age group.
My Primary care dr. doesn't acknowledge my symptoms at all. Nov. & Dec. told my Primary care about increase pain, in my right heel my right & right then my left hip begain to hurt from the way I was walking . I still wasn't refered to another doctor. Went to a foot dr because I could hardly walk, the foot dr offered a cortisone shot in my heel, I asked the foot if something else could be tried before shot. Foot dr put my on steroid pills & gave me a boot to wear that didn't work. In January 2022. I ended of getting a heel injection for heel spur. In November 2021 . I went to an ortho pediast for left hip pain & was given a
steroid injection in my left hip due previously diagnosed osteoarthritis. I had hip & pain in my knees several years prior to Covid but I was working full-time
but the pain was manageable with medication by & tylenil during weather changes. My PC told me I need to lose weight & has not acknowledged any of my symptoms post-covid. I just had my first visit at a dr studying longerhaulers in the end of May 2022. Called that dr in Nov. 2021 but couldn't get in without a referral from my primary care. Kept calling back & telling them about my symptoms & they finally agreed to se me but I they needed my Covid results first. My co-worker that I mention earlier to off a day or so & I was able to function without that persons help to navigate policies & computer, I called my new boss who was new to the job but could not help & didn't know what to do because of being new with with no knowledge of the job. I finally ended up leaving the job. Does any one have any suggestions of what to do next? I feel so frustrated,it difficulty to find the help that I need.
