Not wanting to be negative, but from what I understand about SSHL, hearing is unlikely to come back if it hasn't within a few days or week at the most.
The surgery is an option that wasn't available years ago. Glad you are getting some input from people who have gone that route. A bi-cross hearing device might be worth trying. Have you asked your ENT specialist about that?

Thank you Julie. I was scheduled to see the specialist this Thursday but they called today and rescheduled me to June 23rd. I'm so bummed. Have several questions for him. I will definitely ask him about the BiCros and give it a try before committing to an implant.
