Hi. Almost exact same symptoms except for the buzzing matching your voice. I too have a biCros hearing aid which brings the sounds from your non-hearing ear to your hearing ear. So you can comfortably sit in a room or next to someone and “hear” what they’re saying. It’s also adjustable for the hyperacusis issue (sirens! Awful!). What it doesn’t do is orient you in space (if you have that issue): you still can’t tell which side the sound is coming from.

Hi there. Thank you for your comment. The tinnitus is constant but the buzzing when I talk comes and goes. The pressure/clogged feeling also fluctuates from mild to extreme. Feeling/sounding like I'm in a barrel or echo chamber comes and goes also. I don't know if the fluctuating symptoms means that I should hold off on considering implant because my hearing is changing still and might come back?? Or if fluctuating symptoms is just part of the condition and goes on long term and is not a sign that hearing might improve. Maybe the Dr I see next week will be more helpful than the last one. I'm so grateful for this online community as before this happened I had never heard of SSHL. Big hug to everyone going thru this. Before I commit to an implant surgery I should probably try the biCros.
