Sudden Hearing Loss: Want to connect with others

It has been 3 1/2 months since I experienced sudden deafness in my left ear. This was accompanied by tinnitus in left ear and hyperacusis in my right ear. Also still feel like both ears are clogged but this lessens sometimes. Sometimes when I talk I hear a buzzing sound in my deaf ear which matches the syllables. It's strange because it's when I talk, not when someone else talks. Today it felt like I had my head in a barrel. It comes and goes. I have an appt next Thursday to explore the Cochlea Osia 2 implant. I'm still wondering if my hearing might come back?? Or if an implant will make all the other issues calm down or less noticeable.

Hi. Almost exact same symptoms except for the buzzing matching your voice. I too have a biCros hearing aid which brings the sounds from your non-hearing ear to your hearing ear. So you can comfortably sit in a room or next to someone and “hear” what they’re saying. It’s also adjustable for the hyperacusis issue (sirens! Awful!). What it doesn’t do is orient you in space (if you have that issue): you still can’t tell which side the sound is coming from.
