@riflemanz64

I was on 40mg Pantaprazole 2x a day. I'm now on 40mg 1x a day 30 min. before supper. I have chronic gastritis and doubt it will ever go away. Did you get checked for H Pylori?

I had a test done for CYP2C19 enzyme before taking a cardiac medication. It showed I was an ultra-fast metabolizer. If you're in that category, or the rapid category ,you have an insufficient response to PPI's like Omeprazole. Other medications are effected too.

I'd been taking Omeprazole for gastritis, and GERD for years, and it didn't work. Then I was switched to Pantaprazole, which works a little better. Silly to take medications that are not the correct dosage.

Hi @riflemanz64 how and what are your symptoms? Did you get chronic gastritis because of h pylori
