@raye Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect.

I also have IgM Kappa that morphed into active multiple myeloma, and am under treatment for that, since August 2021. I had two vaccinations of Pfizer, plus 2 boosters [last was just last Fri 5/6/22!] I also had the Evusheld vaccination on 2/17/22, on the advice of my oncologist.

There is a discussion in the autoimmune group about Evusheld https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/evusheld-2/ plus another discussion in the transplant group. I do not plan on being tested for Covid immunity, as it seems I have done all I can ;))

Dear Ginger,
Thanks for your kind reply.
I will look up the website.

Life is an ongoing process and I wish we could rely on the currently available vaccines, including your latest, to put a big stop sign up to covid variants. We can not. I wear a 3M N95 Aura mask, from Home Depot, then try to avoid being around unmasked others.
A friend caught covid after having dinner in a restaurant. I still go to restaurants, but only to order takeout foods to eat at home. I’m sorry you got MM. Hope the treatments will be gentle and that it will not interfere with your life. Wishing you well, Ginger. By the way, I like Ginger tea and it’s an antiinflammitory! Yay!
