leg and foot cramping while sleeping

Posted by coachmo @coachmo, Jan 30, 2012

My sleep is continuously interupted with leg and foot cramps which are severe. Is there anyone out there who suffers from the same thing. I would like to know if there is a way to prevent these cramps.

My doc put me on magnesium and it worked

Thank you. I will get some magnesium today. Is there any danger in taking too much of it?

My Dr. said I was low on Potasium and Magnesium--He gave me 8 MEQ of Potasium and am taking extra OTC Magnesium. Taking 2 pills a day. This corrected the cramping problem right away and haven't come back.

Magnesium glyconate helped my husband.

I was told to drink plenty of water. It helped end my foot cramps. Now when I have a foot cramp at night, I just start drinking more water.

I so hope you find the right combo that helps you!! My daughter has been suffering from foot cramps that can be so severe at night... she has been to doctors, told what to take, and nothing has taken them away. She has even done the NST treatments that helped some. She is faithful in doing the magnesium. IF you come across something that is working for you -- would you PLEASE notify me in my Inbox and share that with me. I would so love to be able to help my daughter. Thank you so much and I wish you all the very best!

There are so many different types of Magnesium. Can you tell me which one you are using and the dosage? I tried Magnesium Glycinate and it helps a little. Thank you

Check out magnesium glycinate as your first choice. Also helps with bowel regularity. Sometimes I wear compression socks to bed. Good luck with finding your solution.
