Any thoughts about the death of Naomi Judd. I feel terrible about her death.

I am 70 years old and have followed Naomi for many years as she was an advocate for, we, the depressed. It is scary, but I also have an understanding of getting that low. It is scary to think with all the money and support, she didn't survive. I have a list I keep handy of things and people to live for. My brother committed suicide and it devastated my family. On my list is my grandchildren. There is still the stigma "out there" and I don't want to put anybody through what I went through when lost my brother.

My brother also committed suicide and every day I see the affect that it has on my family. Sometimes that is the ONLY thing that keeps me going. I have my down days and when that happens I try to reach out to someone to just talk. Life has thrown many curve balls but I have learned to go with the flow.

She had other medical issues and possibly meds related to that could have made depression worse. Being such a public figure and knowing the difference of who you were and who you are now in a depressive state can be difficult to accept.

Nothing worked. She had drug resistant depression

I've had breakthrough depressions when my medication isn't working well and life gets overwhelming and difficult for sure, until it passes, and it always passes. Sometimes it seems as if the depression will never end, but it always does. My cousin is physically disabled and needs constant care. He told me he would rather have what he has than what I have, depression. I agreed, but if we all throw our shoes in the same pit, I believe I would pick my shoes out. Everyone has crosses to bear.

I've had breakthrough depressions when my medication isn't working well and life gets overwhelming and difficult for sure, until it passes, and it always passes.
