Good morning, @fishingfever Your @name made me smile as I’m guessing you’re just itching to get your fishing gear out and a line in the water, right? May 7th is opening day in my state and I know a lot of friends are looking forward to it…except we still have ice on the lake! 😳
To your Covid Vaccine question. I did find an informative site online giving guidelines to cancer patients and blood cancer patients as to Covid Vaccine protocol. I had AML, another form of blood cancer and I was strongly encouraged to receive the vaccines/boosters, and I have. However, since all the vaccine trials didn’t include blood cancer patients there is a question as to the efficacy of the shots. But even a little nudge to warn the immune system is better than nothing.
I would also suggest speaking with your oncologist/hematologist to get the final say so.

How are you fairing with your Hodgkin’s Lymphoma? Are you still undergoing treatment?
This is my second go round with my HL. I was clear for over 10. I just got my last biopsy results and it’s back. I will see my doctor this week and find out how he plans to treat me. I know the hospitals have been busy with Covid but I had my CT in January and it has taken this long for them to get to me. If they continue to drag their feet I will try to get to the Mayo if I can get in quickly.
Fishingfever was the name of my radio show many years ago. We are finally retired and planning on fishing a lot more this year. That’s if the ice will go away lol
Oh golly, I’m sorry to hear about the relapse. Busy or not, having had your CT in January and waiting until May to inform you of your results is a way too long with a cancer diagnosis. I’d be on that phone until I got a swift consult and a plan of action.
In the meantime, here’s a link to our Mayo main site for requesting appointments. http://mayocl.in/1mtmR63
