Has anyone experienced internal vibrations?
I started having the only way I can explain it is internal vibrations. I've had them for 3 months now, I went to t hihe ER and they told me it was anxiety. A doctor diagnosed me at a clinic as having Lyme disease I've started a 21-day prescription of Doxycycline I'm on day 7. I went to a psychiatrist a week ago to get something because of my nerves are just over the brink. He prescribed me Gabapentin and Valium I've only been on them a few days.
Has anyone experienced these internal vibrations?I have them almost 24/7 chest neck stomach from the hips down. I have more lab tests that should be in today, but the doctor's office said that they would not call unless there was some abnormality in the lab work.

I just wanted to tell you a couple of things, first, I have had Fibromyalgia since I was in my thirties. I have taken Cymbalta for that, and Mirapex for Restless legs. They then added Gabpentin. I developed tremors when I had surgery in 2017. I did not have them when I end to surgery but I certainly had them when I got out. And of course, I told all my Drs to know avail.
At any rate, THESE vibrations are new to me, about a year, and they are so different than tremors. Get help for Fibro at least you will feel better. I hope. Fingers crossed for you. As for me, when the neurologist's PA spared me ten minutes to tell me my PD tests were normal, she ushered me OUT the door with no discussion of the tremors, a future visit etc. Not PD, I guess that is all they handle.
I’ve been dealing with a vibration but it is in my brain back of head/neck & spine& then travels to my arms legs stomach. Depends on how severe it gets. When it gets bad I slow down in all ways my face gets pinkish my nose gets stuffy & runs & I get nauseous & vomit & occasionally it causes a headache because I think the vibration is so severe it’s like trying to escape my body. I’ve seen Neurologist Neurosurgeon Endocrinologist had mris cat scans but nothing. It’s been over 2 & 1/2 years. It affects me all day. I go no where I’m in bed most of the time & it’s mentally & emotionally taking a tone on me. It’s there really right now so bad. I feel no one will ever help me. They want me to see ENT now. I have had Brain surgery 10 yrs ago for A pituitary tumor with Cushing’s disease & a large menengeoma tumer behind my right eye baseball size. & I separately have Gasto issues severe acid reflex IBS spastic colon constipation. My bowel was perforated during a hernia surgery & was septic with peritonitis & died was brought back & wore a colostomy bag for about 2 yrs. It was reversed but a lot of bowel was removed. Because I have been vomiting with severe nausea since this all started I have lost weight & a lot of hair. I can’t sleep for long periods of time. I feel like when I say vibration it’s not taken seriously as if it’s not a big deal. It is it has debilitated me. I’m a prisoner in my home. I never know when it will get severe & start the vomiting. So I don’t want to go out. Now they decided well u probably have Gastroparesis & I need a test done that my insurance doesn’t cover at a bigger university hospital. Either way When they talk about the gastroparesis they stop talking about the vibration! They are connected in some way. The minute a severe one is over & the vibration slows down a bit my nose is perfectly fine no stuffiness no running? I’m sure I went off topic & I didn’t proof read what I wrote. I’m sorry I probably wasted your time. I truly hope u get answers or find a support system. I feel alone & lost. Of course living like this causes anxiety & depression but it is not the culprit. So tired of it being the doctors fall back answer to everything they can’t figure out! God Bless☀️
@tleeflynn Hello there, welcome to Connect. Please do not think you have wasted anyone's time. That's why Mayo Connect is here, to listen, support, and encourage. It's awful when insurance doesn't cover a recommended test. Does your gastro doctor have any other suggestions?
You are right when you say, "living like this causes anxiety an depression". It may not be the only culprit, but it indeed has been scientifically proven to be a culprit. Your poor central nervous system sounds upregulated and in an uproar, which may be why it's trading off symptoms, one for the other, and back around again. I'm so sorry you are going through such difficulties. You are among folks who understand.
Yes, I experience bodily vibrations. I have chronic lyme. My body seems to pick up the vibration from my car when driving, but especially when riding on the freeway. It seems that contact with the pavement begins the cycle. My body also may pick up the vibrations of a carpet cleaning machine that is running for hours and parked nearby, mainly any machine that is running has the tendency to cause this. In general, I am very sensitive to noise and either one can trigger a migraine headache.

Good morning- For some time I have been experiencing inside vibrations upon waking up. It's extremely disconcerting. Unless I'm petrified or sick or cold I do not feel this at other times. They usually are accompanied by an unpleasant emotion. I have no pains. I don't think that they are a part of my migraines.
Any suggestions?
Merry
Yes, they do. Have they considered Parkinson's Disease? I am not a dr and this is not a recommendation. Just wondered.
My mother had Parkinson's and my sister and I got DNA tested for it. We do not carry the gene, thank goodness. My husband seems to have early symptoms.
At first, I was told that it was familial tremors but it's my whole body. I didn't have them this AM. No uneasy thoughts either.
Thank you for responding.
Hi! So sorry u are going through the internal tremors. I also am going through the internal tremors. My gastro laughed and told me it’s anxiety! I didn’t find it funny. I’ve been through a lot of tests & they come back normal. So now I’m going the natural way. Taking magnesium and seeing an acupuncturist. She told me drs don’t understand the tremors and don’t know what to do about them. She told me it’s the nerve endings. Keeping my fingers crossed this helps. My tremors are in my trunk and go up to my mouth. My face gets tingling & red. It’s a very uncomfortable feeling.
I have had Fibromyalgia a very long time. Although the neurologist sent me out the door quickly when I did not have PD, if you read this interesting article, Fibro is a neurological disease. Doctors still do not want to deal with it. Anxiety? Oh, yes, plenty. But that does not cause the tremors.
The 4th day after my covid vaccine I started with head tremors. They may not be related at all but yesterday, I started feeling internal lower abdomen vibrations/ sensations. I was thinking it was my bladder? Either way, I'm perplexed as to what it might be. Should I be worried?
