I've had this condition for about 30yrs and I've taken atorvastatin for about 30yrs. It's so long ago, I have no recollection on which started first.
I doubt there would be any data on this as most people wouldn't stop and restart their statin AND get a side effect like this.
A puzzle to be looked into.
Dgg85, outer ear cartilage pain is not a side effect that I see listed for Rosuvastatin

I might suggest talking with your pharmacist to see if this is a side effect due to a combination of drugs that you're taking. Have you told your physician that you stopped the statin?
