Hi Karen!
Have you been seen by a reputable ENT specialist? It sounds like “silent reflux” (laryngopharyngeal reflux) LPR. I have mine under control without medication, just diet, which is easy to do. Dr, J. Koufman’s book, Dropping Acid, was very helpful. I try to get lots of exercise in the fresh air to lower the stress which for me was a contributing factor. I am singing again but in fewer groups!
Good luck!

That fits with what I felt when I had the saloriah. I kept swallowing the annoying saliva, which, in a sense, must have irritated the esophagus, so then got the lump in the throat (maybe from some inflammation triggered by irritation?).

It was very annoying. The glycopyrrolate reduced saliva production, which eliminated the excess swallowing and the resulting lump sensation. My gastroenterologist nailed it correctly with the water brash diagnosis in my case.
