I just saw this post - and couldn't agree more! So is it safe to assume that you are now "Pristiq free"??
How are you feeling? We're you able to quit cold turkey?
Please DO NOT go cold turkey!!! Please remember what your doctor told you about the side effects if you do. I tapered or 2 weeks and though I have had a large majority of side effects that everyone is mentioning here, cold turkey is not the way. This drug changes the chemistry of your brain and it has to have time to adjust. I started this journey with Pristiq 3 years ago and I am feeling just OK, I know that it will all be better and the symptoms will go away. I know that many people feel stuck, similar to addiction, but hang strong. Our doctors need to be more proactive in making sure that their patients are only on this type of drug for a short period of time. Pristiq is not made for long term use and the longer you are on it the harder the withdrawal. I read my booklet again and wish I had spent more time reading it.
