I will ask my oncologist about lowering the dosage of Anastrzole before taking a break from the drug entirely.

My oncologist okayed a half dose, or, rather, alternate days since it is hard to split Femara. I noted previously here that the Femara drug insert states that a study showed 20% of the usual dose is effective. The problem is, "effective" means that it succeeded in affecting estrogen production in the adrenals, so you would still have the effects of estrogen depletion.
