Zometa infusions to help prevent bone loss from cancer treatments
Has anyone had Zometa infusions to help combat the effects of aromatase inhibitors (bone loss). I have osteoporosis of my spine and osteopenia of the hip and am told I need this to prevent future fractures.

Creates an inhospitable environment for tumors. I'll share the link from the NIH when I have time
I will ask my oncologist about lowering the dosage of Anastrzole before taking a break from the drug entirely.
I weight approximately 106 lbs and never had a prescription drug adjusted based on my size. As you say that does not seem right. It goes against common sense and what can I do but trust the doctor.
Hey mjay! The vibration plates are an interesting concept. I’ll be following & researching. Thank you. We must advocate for ourselves. No one knows our body as well as we do ourselves. One pill does not fit all.
For what it's worth, my doctors still recommend calcium/vitamin K2/vitamin D3 supplements and review those blood levels along with phosphorus and magnesium. I take the same formula as my female cardiologist. Having said that, they also recommend adding a lot of calcium-rich plant-based foods to the diet. (They were all underwhelmed by my own self-designed Ice Cream for Calcium and Strong Bones! protocol.) Some of the drugs for osteoporosis though might have differing recommendations. Calcium levels seem to be a moving target in current medicine so I don't know where medical consensus will finally agree.
My oncologist okayed a half dose, or, rather, alternate days since it is hard to split Femara. I noted previously here that the Femara drug insert states that a study showed 20% of the usual dose is effective. The problem is, "effective" means that it succeeded in affecting estrogen production in the adrenals, so you would still have the effects of estrogen depletion.
A great explanation of vibrations for bone health. Watch the videos.

It's not a fact check website but I use Sloan Kettering's Integrative Medicine website to read about herbs/supplements etc. Here's what they have on calcium: https://www.mskcc.org/cancer-care/integrative-medicine/herbs/calcium
I believe there's also an app.
Thank you. My experience so far is that hospitals are not up to date on proper nutrition. Doctors get little to no education on nutrition.
Where can one buy the K2 (I already take D3 - New Chapter Bone Strength)
