The Prolia took me from osteoporosis back to osteopenia on my last Dexa 2 years ago. The docs are hoping that I won’t even have osteopenia when I get my scan in May and I will be off the anastozole. If that’s the case, they want me to take a bone medication for maintenance so that I don’t lose the bone mass I gained while on Prolia as I age. That’s what they mean —lock in those Dexa numbers and keep the strong bones I may have built up. I don’t know what they will choose if I am still in the osteopenia category. In the bone density battle between anastozole and Prolia, we will see which one is winning.
