@echolsleslie

I took 1 infusion of reclast last July. I initially had osteopenia and did nothing because I thought someone that has worked out all of this life couldn't get osteoporosis- wrong. Reclast was rough for first 4 days not too bad after that. Does anyone know that if you have osteoporosis do you have to continue reclast for 2 years ? Or can I stop if I get a great scan that
Shows increased bone density.

It is my understanding, from my endocrinologist that one year of Reclast should be enough to prevent rebound from stopping Prolia and then I can stop Reclast. I think the information on this is not conclusive. It is my hope that I do not have severe side effects from Reclast and that one year is enough however my "gut" feeling is that no one really knows the answer and I will probably have to wait and see. Yes ! We all seem to react differently to these drugs. Does anyone know good, effective, safe, ways to deal with the muscle, bone and joint pain from the side effects. So far I rely on Tylenol, but I take so much Tylenol (3,000mg to 4,000mg) in 24 hours that I worry about my liver health. It is wonderful that we can help each other !
Thank you
