Brachioradial pruritus. (severe itching on forearms and neck, no rash).
Does anyone know of this. I think its rare but does exist. My neurologist does not know about this. I have compression between my c5 and c6 cervical disk and have had alot of sun damage to my skin.

No, I have not. A little concerned about the side effects.
Try Dermaleve cream. Works for me.
I had it for many years, as do my 3 siblings, as did 2 grandparents and one parent. Horrible. I carry scars on my elbows from the extreme itch. DMSO seemed to sure it. Back then it wasn't approved for humans and I bought it at a tack and feed store. Now it's approved for several inflammatory conditions and can be bought at the drug store, probably for a higher price.
By the way, typical of so many skin ailments, it's Latin name is just a fancy way of saying "itchy elbows.". It's technically a syndrome. It's not a disease until they know the cause. Although mine got worse after a Summer of sun exposure, I suspect it's related to the spine and genetic.
Sorry. Spelling is Demeleve. Really works.

@help22, Thanks for giving Dermeleve an "atta-boy". I totally agree with you.
@gator123, please check out this new topical for "itch". My dermatologist brought it back to me from a dermatology conference. It works within 15 minutes and lasts for about 6 hours.....time away from the discomfort to get some rest. Then you can reapply......if you still need some "free from itch time" do it again. There are no steroids like ointments that you cannot use every day. Find Dermeleve at dermeleve.com. You can buy online and the small tubes are in the $25 range. Worth a try?
May you be free of suffering and the causes of suffering.

Need some natural stuff for blood sugar and cholesterol . I can never see mayo clinic due to my Medicare insurance can u believe that here in Arizona . my coverage does not have a certain number so they won't accept it . the clinic that suppose to have answers to everything and I can't see them especially for cervical issues for 2nd opinion what is wrong with Medicare plan in 🇺🇸
What does skin issues have to do with cervical problems on your disc I don't understand yet it no connection whatsoever if you have a skin issue you need to see a dermatologist
My dermatologist is the one who sent me to a spine specialist. He explained that some people have referred pain from the cervical spine into the arms. Also, some people have brains that misinterpret the pain as an itch. When the itch is extremely deep, it is often nerve related, not skin related. Remember that we are talking here about rare conditions that do not yet have a true diagnosis of cause. It is the nature of science to postulate hypotheses, one after another, and to test them until we find the cause.
