@dpcarriere, I added this great discussion topic to the Cancer (https://connect.mayoclinic.org/group/cancer/) and Cancer: Managing Symptoms (https://connect.mayoclinic.org/group/cancer-managing-symptoms/) groups as well. I think this will be of interest to many.
Here's a link to more information about Mayo Clinic's Integrative Medicine programs
- Integrative Medicine and Health https://www.mayoclinic.org/departments-centers/integrative-medicine-health/sections/overview/ovc-20464567
One of my all time favorite websites is the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH) https://www.nccih.nih.gov/
In the health info A-Z section you can look up any treatment, therapy, supplement, etc and find out more about how it is used, it's safety and what the evidence says about how it can help or be harmful.
For anyone not sure about the terms integrative, complementary or alternative medicine, start with this article:

@dpcarriere, have you had an appointment with Integrative Medicine yet? What did you learn?
Yes Colleen I have just begun working with a Dr of Integrative Medicine at one of the Mayo Scottsdale campuses. This is opening an entire new world for me. I have had only one appt so it's far too early to assess it's effectiveness but the possibilities are endless and it's up to each to work their way. Basically the doctor acts as your guide. You determine your pathway and so each needs to be aware of the pathways to meet your insividual needs. I find this exceedingly exciting.
I am in agreeance with you that this needs to be presented to ALL. I would be more than happy to co-present this extrodinary finding. We should discuss a methodology that would be most effective. As a side are you aware of the works of Dr D'Andre at Mayo Rochester? It all fits in.
