Merry, The hospital is about 20 mins away. Due to the state of things after Hurricane Michael, we plan on going to Mayo - JAX for follow ups after we know what we are dealing with. The medical community is decent locally, but Liz deserves the best I can give her and 4.5 hrs away is not that far considering the expertise and equipment available at Mayo.

I hear you. I live in southern NE and take a train to Mass General just for that reason! You might consider asking about local hotels that cater to hospital/cancer patients for better deals if you plan on staying the night. I'm glad for now it's just a 20 minute ride.
