Oh golly, I’m sorry about your cancer diagnosis. That’s always earth shattering isn’t it? But education is power so I know you want to find out as much as you can. If you’re having chemo treatments, that can affect your blood counts, including your platelet levels. They can be very erratic during treatment.
Looking through results of lab work, if you’re not familiar with all the terms and what each number represents, can be a little bewildering. From experience, I know it’s easy to go off searching for possible answers. But we can also misinterpret things too, Have you discussed your blood work with your oncologist?
Do you have any specific numbers you’re seeing that you want to know more about? You mentioned platelets. Are your counts elevated?
