I never heard that neuropathy could be reversed by controlling diabetes. By controlling diabetes, the neuropathy might not get worse but not reversed. Nerves were already damaged that can not repair.

I think there are probably a lot of things that factor into what I consider some hope or a chance of reversing any neuropathy. In my own case of having idiopathic small fiber PN with only numbness for symptoms and maybe a small amount of tingling, I think I have either stopped or slowed the progression of my neuropathy which the neurologist told me that I was facing.

I was actually thinking of reversing type 2 diabetes which I think could possibly reduce or eliminate the corresponding neuropathy symptoms from the diabetes - but then it's just my opinion. I did remember reading this article awhile back when I was trying to learn more about diabetic neuropathy as it might relate to my pre-diabetic diagnosis.
