I don’t know who where UCI is or what kind of specialist you are going to see. But you can ask about a referral or recommendation at your appointment.
You might be able to get follow up care at a local provider who will coordinate with a transplant center if you live at a distance. I got my transplant at Mayo Rochester MN and return there annually at a distance of 800 miles. My PCP takes care of me locally.
What kind of transplant did you get? How long ago?
