Severe GI symptoms, pain and IBS: What next?

Posted by johnbluffside @johnbluffside, Dec 27, 2021

Doctor doesn’t feel it’s SIBO, no diarrhea.
Fatique, body weakness, joint pain, left lower side pain. All possible tests, scans done nothing shows up. Colonoscopy showed a bleeding ulcer and that was repaired.
Xifian works as long as you are on it .
Anyone have anything similar. ?
Hypnotherapy, therapists, low FODMAP, antidepressant & Vit C nothing helps . Took forever to gain back 5 lbs of 20 lost.

@johnbluffside - I think SIBO recurs because there are still bacteria that were not eradicated, in addition to the slow motility causing chronic constipation.
When I feel SIBO is back, I try to get things going. I drink a lot of water and use one of the OTC laxatives. I also take PeptoBismol - it has anti bacterial effect too.
What measures do you take?

I have IBS . I have horrific abdominal pain with migraines, weakness, feet tingling, brain fog, and nausea.
Tried every RX , hypnotherapy, FODMAP diet, and have been recently been told I could find a specialist to have surgery . They could freeze / block the nerve that relates messages from brain to gut.
Also been told Botox in the abdomen can help.
Anyone as a patient or admin thru Mayo to help me with this?
Thank you !!!!
