Hi Nancy - I’m curious about which state you live in. I’ve been trying to get the Evusheld treatment in Illinois but I’m not having any luck. My PCP wasn’t aware of the treatment and the last I heard from my transplant team at Mayo Rochester, they were waiting for further direction from their infectious disease specialist. I’d rather get the Evusheld treatment than a 4th vaccine as directed by my transplant team in a letter yesterday. Is anyone else having any luck finding the treatment?

I live in Grand Rapids MI. I have not gotten vaccinated because so many people have gotten neuropathy or had theirs worsen. I have neuropathy and don’t want to chance it getting worse. Plus I have natural immunity from a bad case of Covid in Nov 2020. I usually have my antibodies checked every couple of months and I’m still positive. I’m speaking with the pharmacist at my transplant center this afternoon. I’m very unsure about getting it. I’ll post what she has to say.

I had a talk with the pharmacist about Evusheld and I have decided not to take it right now. They are only offering it to people who get the infusion Belatecept. Or have cancer. I am eligible but they are uncertain about side effects, heart issues being one of them. I had some heart issues when I had Covid so I decided not to get it. I was told they only have 30 doses at this time but that at least one other hospital has doses too. They’re hoping they will continue to receive more doses.
