@zakova, @colleenyoung, and all...I received a message on my portal from the Mayo Florida covid task force or whatever, asking me if I was interested in getting the vaccine at Mayo. My understanding is the doctors were asked to submit names of patients with multiple co-morbidities who should receive the vaccine asap. I'm afraid I was one of those folks, so I got the vaccine at Mayo in Jan/Feb, the booster last month. Perhaps you don't have the many health issues that put you in that category. That's a good thing.

My PCP is in the community and isn't and has certainly been busy especially during the covid years. But, I think many of the PCP don't get the newest information. I only know what I know basically from doing online research and searching different sources I respect. They work for large hospitals or whatever ... I think I'm better informed and have told my PCP new information as I learn it, ask his opinion. He's always slightly behind the latest info

I will call the Crucial Care Clinic down the street tomorrow to see what they suggest and let you know what I find.
Blessings, elizabeth

Thanks for the reply. I have been told by Mayo that I am moderately to severely immunocompromised .That meets the criteria for CDC and Florida health Dept. Maybe others are more in need and Mayo is prioritizing. That is good. They should. However, other sites require a referral. That's all I am asking for, and is it safe to take in my condition. That's it. That way I am ready. That's what the Health Department told me to do.
