An interesting clinical trial available right now to patients seeking a living donor kidney transplant - the Freedom-1 Trial. In this trial, investigators are using an investigational cell therapy to prevent rejection. The outcome of this study could be elimination of immunosuppressive drugs for kidney transplant patients.
